Frequently Asked Questions

Go47 says it can't find any visited prefectures — why?: Go47 reads GPS metadata from photos in your library. If your photos don't have GPS data (e.g. they were taken with location services disabled, or GPS was stripped), they won't be detected. Make sure photos taken in Japan had location services enabled at the time.
How do I grant photo library access?: Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Go47, and select "Full Access".
Can I try the app without Japan photos?: Yes. In the app, go to Settings → About, then tap the version number seven times quickly. A "Reviewer Tools" section will appear with a "Load Sample Data" option.
Does Go47 upload my photos or location?: No. All processing happens entirely on your device. No data is ever sent to any server.
How do I reset my data?: Go to Settings inside the app and tap "Reset All Data".
